Refocus Founder Wins ACM Doctoral Dissertation Award

SAN DIEGO, CA - June 9, 2007 - Refocus Imaging founder, Ren Ng, was presented with the prestigious Association of Computing Machinery (ACM) Doctoral Dissertation Award at the annual ACM Awards Banquet in San Diego.

The Doctoral Dissertataion Award is presented annually to the author of the best doctoral dissertation in computer science and engineering.

Refocus Imaging Closes Greylock Partners Series A Funding

MOUNTAIN VIEW, CA - April 17, 2007 - Refocus Imaging, Inc. announces that it has closed a Series A funding round led by Greylock Capital.

Refocus Imaging is a startup company spun out of Stanford University to commercialize a recent breakthrough in imaging.  Refocus' technology is based on recording missing information about the light entering a camera, and processing that data to produce better pictures.  One revolutionary feature enabled by a Refocus camera is the ability to change the focus in a photograph after the picture is taken.
